My name is Sharen Bratt. I have worked in the homewares industry for many years as a buyer, interior co-ordinator and shop owner. As a buyer and shop owner, I was always trying to source unique and interesting products – something different to set me apart from the other shops in my area. I would get so excited when I found a new range, only to have the excitement turn to frustration when the supplier flooded the market with their products, and my unique product was suddenly in every other shop including the big chain stores.
This frustration has led me to design and manufacture my own unique range of home soft furnishings. My design philosophy is simple. Each item must be Beautiful, Romantic, Simple and Stylish. All products are designed and manufactured in Australia.
I have always been drawn to roses, even as a child admiring them in my mother’s garden. Nothing, I thought, could be more beautiful. As an Interior Co-ordinator, I accessorized homes and businesses using an abundance of flowers. They instantly bring life, not only to a room, but to my creativity as well. So, whether in a garden bouquet or printed onto delicate fabric, ‘tending’ roses has become ‘my bliss’. I feel at home designing in soft pastel colours that promise a peaceful respite, with delicate florals that embrace the charm of Romantic Cottage Style.
So you will find roses incorporated into many of the designs I offer. First as a tribute to all that they represent to me, and also because I feel nothing evokes the true spirit of romance more than the beauty of a rose.
